Yesterday, Kiks told me that he had fallen ill. I decided that today, I would go pay him a visit.
He was pretty lucky to have such a comfortable bedroom - not only was his new bed something I wish I could sleep on every night, but his room was painted with his favorite colors, and his shelves and desks were decked with the toys he bought one by one for himself over the years.
The most recent addition to his collection was his pride and joy - a Leader Class Optimus prime figure, which was not only probably his most expensive buy, but also his biggest toy!
It takes him about 10 minutes to transform his awesome truck into an awesome robot. Most people would probably get really frustrated and give up half-way, but there's the joy in buying something like this right there - spending so much time just transforming it, but enjoying the process the whole way.
One of the few reasons I risk my own health when I go visit Kiks is simply this. Ordering some McDonald's, playing with toys, and just enjoying each other's company. And of course, there's that great feeling of knowing that in some ways, I made him feel better already. ♥
On a completely unrelated note, I just have to share that the little area in our garden with all the fruits and vegetables growing is really spectacular. I never thought there could be so much going on in an area much smaller than my room. Although one of the papaya trees fell due to the harsh winds a few weeks ago, it's still amazing how the fallen tree is of some use to the other plants. Like this little ampalaya growing on the vine that's crawling up the trunk of the fallen tree.Life is awesome!
