This evening, my family (sans my dad) attended my mom's cousin's birthday celebration in Wack-Wack. I can't really tell if Wack-Wack is beautiful - they have nice houses and all, but I feel like something's a bit lacking. But anyway, it's always a pleasure going to Tito Alex's house, even though this is just about the second time we've been there this year.
Outside the house were these vines hanging from an old tree. It was a little troubling that I hadn't brought my kit lens with me, but I was somehow able to manage with Jack, my trusty 50mm.
I brought along my bokeh lens hood, since I remembered how Tito Alex's house was strewn with little lights and lots of little glass things that reflected the dimmed lights quite nicely.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take any decent shots of the little glass figurines due to the number of people inside the house. It was fortunate, however, that the area with the piano was less occupied. On top of the instrument were these elegant glass figures of swans (ducks?). Being short wasn't exactly working for me, so I had to kneel on the piano bench.
All over the house were pink roses very nicely arranged with bunches of baby's breath. Could have composed this better, but it reminded me a bit of one of my old photos that I took way back when I was just starting with photography using a film SLR.Although I'm more of a fan of modern houses, there's something about that place that brings back fond memories of my childhood. ♥
